Robert Shoup's classical en-plein air landscape evokes the stillness and mid-summer warmth of
eastern Pennsylvannia. He studied classical tonalist painting with Lennart Anderson and Lois Dodd, while earning his MFA at CUNY at Brooklyn during the early 1990's. He currently is a professor at Rutgers University within the Department of Arts, Culture and Media.
