Duane Keiser, American Artist
Vase of Water with Two Figs 5-1/4"x4-1/2" Oil on panel
$1000 Unframed SOLD
This intimate still life depicting water with two figs contains a unique sense of solitude and peacefulnessthat is quite seductive in nature. The sensitivepaint handling and warm and cool tonal variationsintroduce a beautiful atmospheric quality. Theevocative asymmetrical composition strikes the eyeand then seduces the mind to look beyond, forcing one to consider what may exist outside of the picture plane. The artist presents a masterful mystery through his uncanny power of suggestion. The luminous painting possesses a subtle sense of light, shadow and texture that is truly naturalistic. It's painted on a 5-1/4" x 4-1/2" prepared panel, in muted, Indian red, green, umber, blue, and charcoal gray with select tiny spots of white for the highlights! The painting has been photographed in natural light, and adjusted to appear as close as possible to the original.
